February is I LOVE to READ Month!

Crest View’s Book Blog!
Crest View has a Book Blog and it is our GOAL to have 600 posts made during the month of February!  Students will post book reviews throughout the month during their reading time in class. We also encourage families to post from home and to visit the blog for reading ideas for your family!  There will be book and popcorn prizes awarded to the family member that posts the most, the staff member that posts the most, and the class that posts the most.  Please email your reading response to thompsonholly.cvbooks@blogspot.com. Each post should have:
Head: What did you THINK about the book?
Heart: How did the book make you feel?
Hands: What will you do with this? Recommend it? Change something in your life?

4th and 5th grade iPad Protection Plan Instructions

All of our 4th and 5th grade students have been issued an iPad to use for learning during the school day.  Every family needs to fill out the agreement and insurance information in Fee Pay before October 24th.  There are instructions on what to do at this link.  If you have questions, please email or call me.  We are excited to have these devices for our students!  Thanks for your help in completing this form.

It's Been a Great 1st Month!!

It’s been such a fun month in the library!  Students have been checking out books and enjoying the ambiance of the library for reading.  We have just started learning our library routines and check out procedures. However, we mostly have been enjoying great books together.  Story time has included The Frog Prince, Dinosaur vs. the Library, Don’t Let a Ghost Borrow Your Library Book, We’re Going on a Book Hunt, The Librarian From the Black Lagoon, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and Little Red Riding Hood.  I have enjoyed reading with everyone! I hope our students are enjoying books at home too!
