4th and 5th grade iPad Protection Plan Instructions

All of our 4th and 5th grade students have been issued an iPad to use for learning during the school day.  Every family needs to fill out the agreement and insurance information in Fee Pay before October 24th.  There are instructions on what to do at this link.  If you have questions, please email or call me.  We are excited to have these devices for our students!  Thanks for your help in completing this form.

It's Been a Great 1st Month!!

It’s been such a fun month in the library!  Students have been checking out books and enjoying the ambiance of the library for reading.  We have just started learning our library routines and check out procedures. However, we mostly have been enjoying great books together.  Story time has included The Frog Prince, Dinosaur vs. the Library, Don’t Let a Ghost Borrow Your Library Book, We’re Going on a Book Hunt, The Librarian From the Black Lagoon, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and Little Red Riding Hood.  I have enjoyed reading with everyone! I hope our students are enjoying books at home too!

Summer Activites and Reading!

Crest View Students!

We are excited to share a whole bunch of electronic ways for you to read and learn about cool things over the summer!  This webpage has a whole bunch of links for you to use whenever you find yourself looking for something to do.  There are games, great websites for cool facts, and ebooks. Click around above to explore!

Some of the sites need a username and password.  Click here for a document with them all listed. You need to sign in with your google docs account to see the document.   You can also email me at thompsonholly@district279.org and I will send you the login information for whatever you need as soon as I can.

If you are looking for a some great books to read, click here for my summer reading list. Remember, the Brooklyn Park Public Library will be closed for most of June, but the new one on 85th by 169 will be open at the end of June.  I have heard the kid's area is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!  There is a sidewalk along the entire route, but since it's a little far away, make sure you have someone older with you to stay safe.

Enjoy your great summer!

Love, Mrs. Thompson
